Recognition Night

I had seen many photos of our foreign uplines during the time they were given recognition for the achievements in the business. Most frequently seen are the photos and videos of Mr. Mark Lei receiving his rewards in the many occasions he had climbed the ladder of success in Amway. Most of them in big stage, attended by so many people, dancing big beautiful lights, flowers, confetti. So I wonder how they do it in the Phillipines.

Then the chance came upon to witness the big night for Amway achievers in the Phils. But as always, I came late in the event since I'm have a fulltime day job, I missed the activities before the finale such as the brand rally, games and recognition of those lower ranks where i belong, the 3 percenter. Though lowest in ranks, these are still considered achievers already that they are called to the stage to be recognize by the audience. In the group where I belong, the Filipinos of the Thai group in ADC Shaw, the highest achievement is 15%, I also missed that portion, but i am proud that i know these people who are staiitng from the lowest who will surely rise to the top. And I know I will also rise with them to the top.

I was a bit dissappointed as the highest level being awarded was only EMERALD, but the good thing is that Filipinos are amongst the awardees and not all foreigners. To me ,It meant that we are now much deep into the business that it is now making us rich in our own soil, that we now understand how to do this simple way of earning money and that we can be successful. This is what i wanted to see, Filipinos rising to success. But i still wanted to see more, more Filipinos who are poor, uneducated, handicapped, less fortunate. What i witness was rich people, people who have good education, business people...most of them almost successful in their own field. Then I realized that since these are already rich people having their own businesses, good connections, better education and good life yet they join Amway and became successful. Though success did not come the easy way despite their seemingly advantageous life situation. This reinforced in me that there is nothing easy in this life, rich or poor has to go through their fair share of failures and triumphs.

Witnessing that event and hearing the testimonies of Filipinos experiencing success through Amway business the hard way, reaffirmed in me the commitment to give this business 5 years of my available time which means doing the business during may day off, during vacation leave and at least 2 hours per day after work (either attendimg the trainings or sharing with people).

ARTISTRY - LIQUID FOUNDATION Launching

The launch was held at Shangrila Hotel in Makati so I was impressed by the idea of the launch being done in a 5 star hotel with pika-pika, as advised by one of the leaders in Dispophil Center,. So I attended the event with the motive in mind to check how Amway does their launching, if bongga ba talaga. I was not disappointed, the food is overflowing though they are finger foods, but satisfying, juices and coffees are also drink all you can (this is the best part of the launch).

Again ,my favorite part of the Amway event is the photo wall where we got to pose with the celebrity host Ms. Tessa Prieto.

The main event was the bridal fashion show designed by Francis and make up done byAfter the brides paraded in their beautiful gowns, the star of the show, the Artistry Liquid Foundation was introduced. There were also some tips given about foundation; 1)choosing the right color of foundation. We should choose the color which should one shade lighter than your natural skin tone and apply it along the jawline and not at the back of your hand as we normally do. This is because the color of your hand is not the same as the color of your face.2) applying foundation on your lips to make your lip stick say longer. 3) apply foundation to your hairline so that the color of your face is continuous and will not show thin foundation lines beside your hairline 4) put powder into your ears specially when your hair is tied up for an even color facial effect.

The launch ended with a raffle but our group went home empty handed with the prize but we all got artistry memo pad as the event's souvenir.

COLOR YOUR DIET - Live Right with Nutrilite

One of the beauty of this business is that there are events that the company conducts to help promote the products as well as take care of the welfare of their IBOs. The most recent one is the COLOR YOUR DIET , live right with Nutrilite held at Glorietta activity center this July 13, 2010. The host is Mark Nelson and one of the guest is Paeng Nepomuceno, Nutrilite brand ambassador. A nutrilite scientist explained the concept of color your diet,. In the simplest form, it means we should eat fruits and vegetables (actually 5 colors per day, 2 servings per color) everyday. The colors are white,blue/purple,yellow,green and red.

My favorite part of events like this is the photo wall wherein your picture will be taken with the event background and you'll get your photo in just a couple of minutes and its FREE. absolutely FREE, so you'll have your souvenir of the event. no need to bring your own camera.

But in Amway, as an IBO should be always bringing your camera coz you'll never know who will be present and who will be available( celebrity)  to pose with. Mind you, AMway celebrities are always ready with a pose and do not hurriedly leave after the event. As I have observed they usually linger and mingle with the people.

There is also a raffle draw but since I'm not your lucky girl, this does not excite me.
There is also a cooking session that I did not see and the sample of the menu, I also did not taste, because I was working that day, it was only during break time that I was able to run to the venue which is about 5 minutes away from my place of work.
